During the last few years, there have been many positive changes in the healthcare industry, with an emphasis on innovation. People’s health has improved thanks to developments in healthcare, expanding options, new medications, technologies, and other factors. In Vietnam, developing an innovation-focused healthcare sector is critical in building on past achievements and upgrading Vietnam’s health system to better address tomorrow’s challenges. This is recognized by the Government, and institutionalized in several strategic documents:
• Resolution 20/NQ-TW (dated 25 Oct 2017) on improving the protection, improvement, and care of citizens’ health under new circumstances.
• Decision 376/QĐ-TTg (dated 17 May 2021) outlining the National Strategy for the Development of the Pharma Industry, vision 2045
• Directive 16/CT-TTg (dated 20 Sep 2022) on improving healthcare, fostering resilience, moving quickly towards fast recovery and sustainable development
Pharma Group – representing the innovative pharmaceutical industry and an active partner in supporting Vietnam’s policy development, is pioneering the inaugural Healthcare Innovation. The Forum expects to bring together leaders from the medical community, Government, pharma industry, technology companies, start-ups, academic institutions, and world-leading experts to discuss the latest trends and innovations in healthcare (beyond pharmaceuticals), and explore opportunities to build a vibrant, collaborative and innovative healthcare ecosystem in Vietnam.
